HOUSTON – (December 7, 2023) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $3,515,000 to the City of Aledo (Parker County) from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF). The City will use the assistance for the construction of a wastewater collection system project.

The City could save approximately $567,000 over the life of the loan by using the CWSRF.

Due to an escalation in construction costs, the City requested additional funds to complete the Clear Fork Interceptor Sewer project. With the assistance approved today, the City will complete construction of a new interceptor sewer system and make upgrades to the Old Tunnel Lift Station to increase capacity of the wastewater collection system to provide service to a growing population.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
