Texas Water Development Board approves $3,520,000 to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of White Shed Water Supply Corporation (Fannin County) for water system improvements

AUSTIN – (April 6, 2023) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $3,520,000 from the Texas Water Development Fund to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of White Shed Water Supply Corporation (Fannin County). The Corporation will use the assistance for planning, acquisition, design, and construction of a water system improvement project.

The Corporation could save approximately $170,000 over the life of the loan by using the Texas Water Development Fund.

With the financial assistance approved today, the Corporation will construct a new well and an elevated storage tank with associated disinfection equipment to provide sufficient production and storage capacity.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
