Texas Water Development Board approves $314,696 to the Commodore Cove Improvement District (Brazoria County) for water system improvements

AUSTIN – (May 4, 2023) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount $314,696 in principal forgiveness to the Commodore Cove Improvement District (Brazoria County) from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). The District will use the assistance for the planning, design, and construction of a water system improvement project.

With the financial assistance approved today, the District will construct a new ground storage tank that includes a recirculation system and other improvements.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
