Texas Water Development Board approves $300,000 to the Oak Grove Water Supply Corporation (Bowie County) for participation in a new regional water system

AUSTIN – (July 25, 2023) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $300,000 in principal forgiveness from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) to the Oak Grove Water Supply Corporation (Bowie County). The Corporation will use the assistance for its participation in a new regional water system.

The Corporation is a member of the Riverbend Water Resources District. With the financial assistance approved today, the Corporation will fund its participation in the Riverbend Water Resources District’s new regional water system project to meet growing water demands.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
