Texas Water Development Board approves $975,023 to the Arimak Water Supply Corporation (Kerr County) for water system improvements

AUSTIN – (January 18, 2024) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $975,023 in principal forgiveness from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the Arimak Water Supply Corporation (Kerr County). The Corporation will use the assistance for the planning, design, and construction of a water system improvement project.

With the assistance approved today, the Corporation will install a radium reduction system and variable frequency drive pumps at two well locations and replace ground storage tanks with a new 20,000-gallon ground storage tank.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
