Texas Water Development Board approves $665,000 to the Royal Oaks Apartments (Gillespie County) for water system improvements

AUSTIN – (November 6, 2024) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $665,000 in principal forgiveness from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) to the Royal Oaks Apartments (Gillespie County). Royal Oaks Apartments will use the assistance for the planning, design, and construction of a water system improvement project.
With the assistance approved today, Royal Oaks Apartments will construct a new water well, a 5,000-gallon ground storage tank, a 500-gallon hydropneumatic tank, 22 water meters, a generator, and approximately 1,800 linear feet of transmission and distribution lines. An asset management plan will also be developed for the water system.
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
