Texas Water Development Board approves $253,000 to the Grantwoods Water Supply Corporation (Harris County) for a water system project

AUSTIN – (August 21, 2025) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $253,000 in grant funding to the Grantwoods Water Supply Corporation (Harris County) from the Water Loan Assistance Fund (WLAF) for the planning, design, and construction of a water system project.

With the financial assistance approved today through the WLAF, the corporation will replace approximately 3,200 feet of water lines and add approximately 1,350 feet of water lines and seven gate valves.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
