Texas Water Development Board approves financial assistance totaling $30,085,669 for water and wastewater projects

AUSTIN – (October 2, 2025) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $30,085,669 for water and wastewater projects.
- $398,000 to the Grassland Water Supply Corporation (Lynn County) for water system improvements
- $3,260,000 to the Welch Water Supply Corporation (Dawson County) for water system improvements
- $2,567,669 to the City of Dublin (Erath County) for water system improvements
- $23,860,000 to the City of Mercedes (Hidalgo County) for wastewater system improvements
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
