Texas Water Development Board approves $98,000 to the City of Taylor Lake Village (Harris County) for flood management evaluation

AUSTIN – (December 16, 2025) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $98,000 to the City of Taylor Lake Village (Harris County), consisting of $98,000 in grant funding from the Flood Infrastructure Fund (FIF). The City will use the assistance for flood management evaluation.

With the assistance approved today, the City will conduct a study to identify proposed flood mitigation measures. The proposed study consists of data collection, field surveying, storm sewer video inspection and evaluation, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, identification of projects, and performing benefit-cost analysis.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
