Texas Water Development Board approves $6,000,000 to the Travis County Water Control and Improvement District - Point Venture (Travis County) for water system improvements

 AUSTIN – (March 31, 2026) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $6,000,000 from the Texas Water Development Fund to the Travis County Water Control and Improvement District - Point Venture (Travis County). The District will use the assistance for the construction of a water system improvement project.

With the assistance approved today, the District will construct a new 545,000-gallon standpipe, rehabilitate the elevated storage tank, add a new level gauge and sample connection, a new pressure transmitter assembly, and install a new generator. The District will also upgrade the pump station capacity and replace waterlines to improve water pressure.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
