HOUSTON – (December 7, 2023) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $34,856,380 for water and wastewater projects.
- $28,550,000 to the City of Liberty Hill (Williamson County) for a direct potable reuse project
- $2,791,380 to City of Gladewater (Gregg and Upshur counties) for water system improvements
- $3,515,000 to the City of Aledo (Parker County) for a wastewater collection system project
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
