Texas Water Development Board approves financial assistance totaling $78,412,603 for water, wastewater, and flood projects

AUSTIN – (December 17, 2024) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $78,412,603 for water, wastewater, and flood projects.
- $3,753,441 to the City of Winters (Runnels County) for water system improvements
- $8,153,062 to the City of Abilene (Taylor and Jones counties) for a water system project
- $9,985,000 to the City of La Marque (Galveston County) for wastewater system improvements
- $45,350,700 to the City of Marble Falls (Burnet County) for wastewater system improvements
- $625,000 to the City of Corpus Christi (Nueces County) to address emerging contaminants
- $4,880,400 to the East Rio Hondo Water Supply Corporation (Cameron County) to address emerging contaminants
- $1,400,000 to the City of Arp (Smith County) for a wastewater system project
- $4,265,000 to the Rayburn Country Municipal Utility District (Jasper County) for a water system project
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
