AUSTIN – (June 12, 2024) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $50,059,307 for water and wastewater projects.
- $2,110,000 to the City of Huntington (Angelina County) for a drinking water project
- $3,915,000 to the City of New Summerfield (Cherokee County) for a drinking water project
- $7,174,307 to the City of De Kalb (Bowie County) for a water system improvement project
- $2,500,000 to the Brazosport Water Supply Corporation (Brazoria County) for a reservoir expansion project
- $3,445,000 to the Hardin Water Supply Corporation (Liberty County) for a water system improvement project
- $27,280,000 to the City of Hitchcock (Galveston County) for a wastewater system improvement project
- $300,000 to the Loma Alta Water Supply Corporation (Hale County) for a water system project
- $3,335,000 to the City of Donna (Hidalgo County) for a wastewater system improvement project
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
