AUSTIN – (July 24, 2025) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $2,665,960,000 for water and wastewater projects.
- $72,480,000 to Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority (Travis and Williamson counties) for water system improvements
- $69,000,000 to the Baytown Area Water Authority (Harris and Chambers counties) for a water supply project
- $8,000,000 to Central Harris County Regional Water Authority (Harris County) for water system improvements
- $966,090,000 to the City of Houston (Harris County) for a water supply project
- $180,000,000 to the City of Fort Worth (Tarrant, Denton, Parker, and Wise counties) for water system improvements
- $33,500,000 to the Alliance Regional Water Authority (Hays, Caldwell, Guadalupe, Comal, Bexar Counties) for water system improvements
- $55,000,000 to the City of Austin (Travis County) for water system improvements
- $40,000,000 to the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (Guadalupe, Comal, Hays, and Caldwell counties) for water system improvements
- $27,635,000 to the City of San Antonio, acting by and through the San Antonio Water System (Bexar County) for water system improvements
- $64,655,000 to the Laguna Madre Water District (Cameron County) for water system improvements
- $198,450,000 to the City of McAllen (Hidalgo County) for water system improvements
- $16,150,000 to the City of Del Rio (Val Verde County) for water system improvements
- $43,200,000 to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority (Grayson County) for water system improvements
- $880,755,000 to the North Texas Municipal Water District, (Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Fannin, Hunt, Kaufman, Rains, and Rockwall counties) for water system improvements
- $11,045,000 to the City of Pleasanton (Atascosa County) for wastewater system improvements
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
