Texas Water Development Board approves financial assistance totaling $108,263,727 for water, wastewater, and flood mitigation projects

AUSTIN, TEXAS – (November 19, 2025) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $108,263,727 for water, wastewater, and flood mitigation projects.
- $862,400 to the Victoria County Water Control and Improvement District No. 2 (Victoria County) for water system improvements
- $11,085,000 to the City of Harlingen (Cameron County) for wastewater system improvements
- $4,734,694 to the City of Cleburne (Johnson County) for water system improvements
- $21,000,000 to the East Aldine Management District (Harris County) for wastewater system improvements
- $70,000,000 to the City of Irving (Dallas County) for a flood mitigation project
- $581,633 to the City of Poteet (Atascosa County) for water system improvements
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
