AUSTIN – (October 5, 2023) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $61,965,000 for water and wastewater projects.
- $3,000,000 to the Chatt Water Supply Corporation (Hill County) for water system improvements
- $5,595,000 to the City of Menard (Menard County) for water treatment and water system improvements
- $13,840,000 to the City of La Porte (Harris County) for wastewater system improvements
- $7,580,000 to the Sunbelt Fresh Water Supply District (Harris County) for a wastewater treatment plant expansion
- $1,950,000 to the Crystal Clear Special Utility District (Guadalupe County) for water system improvements
- $18,000,000 to the Lake McQueeney Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 (Guadalupe County) for dam improvements
- $12,000,000 to the Lake Placid Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 (Guadalupe County) for dam improvements
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
