LUBBOCK – (April 11, 2024) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $211,400,712 for water, wastewater, and flood projects.
- $129,865,712 to the City of Dallas (Dallas County) from the Flood Infrastructure Fund for projects receiving federal grant award matching funds
- $1,795,000 to the City of Mount Vernon (Franklin County) for water and wastewater system improvements
- $18,470,000 to the Crystal Clear Special Utility District (Guadalupe County) for water system improvements
- $10,400,000 to the Cypress Forest Public Utility District (Harris County) for a sanitary sewer rehabilitation project
- $27,775,000 to the City of Aledo (Parker County) for wastewater system improvements
- $5,550,000 to the Harris County Water Control and Improvement District No. 91 (Harris County) for water system improvements
- $990,000 to the Stryker Lake Water Supply Corporation (Cherokee County) for a water system project
- $1,565,000 to the City of Eastland (Eastland County) for water system improvements
- $14,990,000 to the City of Silverton (Briscoe County) for water system improvements
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
