AUSTIN – (May 8, 2025) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $113,482,706 for water and wastewater projects.
- $8,400,000 to the City of Shallowater (Lubbock County) for water and wastewater system improvements
- $20,000,000 to the City of Waco (McLennan County) for a lead service line replacement project
- $4,000,000 to the City of Fort Worth (Tarrant County) to address emerging contaminants
- $3,140,000 to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of Ravenna-Nunnelee Water Supply Corporation (Fannin County) for water system improvements
- $914,000 to the English Acres Water System (Jim Wells County) for water system improvements
- $5,787,618 to the City of Los Fresnos (Cameron County) for wastewater system improvements
- $4,226,000 to the City of Brady (McCulloch County) for water system improvements
- $7,345,000 to Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 215 (Harris County) for wastewater system improvements
- $22,711,000 to the City of Paducah (Cottle County) for water system improvements
- $475,000 to the Penelope Water Supply Corporation (Hill County) for water system improvements
- $12,795,000 to the Red River County Water Supply Corporation (Red River County) for water system improvements
- $1,000,000 to the City of San Marcos (Hays County) for wastewater system improvements
- $6,200,000 to the City of Springtown (Parker County) for water system improvements
- $5,703,950 to the City of Garrison (Nacogdoches County) for wastewater system improvements
- $2,948,403 to the City of Moulton (Lavaca County) for wastewater system improvements
- $336,735 to the Dog Ridge Water Supply Corporation (Bell County) for a lead service line inventory
- $7,500,000 to the City of Marshall (Harrison County) for a lead service line replacement project
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
