AUSTIN, TEXAS – (February 19, 2026) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $139,611,894 for water and wastewater projects.
- $3,300,000 to the South Plains Water Supply Corporation (Lubbock County) for water system improvements
- $9,270,269 to the City of Alamo (Hidalgo County) for water system improvements
- $15,005,492 to the City of Roma (Starr County) for water system improvements
- $59,000,000 to the City of Austin (Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties) for wastewater system improvements
- $14,444,100 to the City of Bonham (Fannin County) for water system improvements
- $9,953,847 to the City of Cotulla (Starr County) for wastewater system improvements
- $3,001,775 to the New Horizons Ranch and Center, Inc. (Mills County) for water system improvements
- $16,102,813 to the City of Pearsall (Frio County) for wastewater system improvements
- $9,533,598 to the City of San Benito (Cameron County) for water system improvements
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood mitigation, and agricultural water conservation projects.
